Two thousand years ago, the evangelist John, imprisoned on the island of Patmos, saw in apocalyptic visions our present time. He warned that in the last days evil will rage to unimaginable levels and will deceive the minds of a large part of humanity. If we observe with clear eyes the processes unfolding in Europe and the world, and even more so in our own country, we will be convinced of the striking truth of the prophetic words of the holy elder.
We are witnesses to an unprecedented gathering of delusional political witches. But why only political? The minds of the world leaders (with few exceptions) are also deceived, manipulated and zombified. The fate of Europe is in the hands of malicious, selfish and greedy pseudo-statesmen. Our political puppets in front of the Brussels officials are showing their servitude and suppressing subservience towards the European liberal cocoons.
It is enough to review the news broadcasted by the central electronic media to see the giant manipulation not only of moral and aesthetic values, but also of the natural and normal daily agenda of society. The past few days have been a striking scandalous example in this regard.
The entire country is trembling with a fabricated scandal, related to a politically dependent journalistic spin, in order to blindfold the public from the crucial and alarming problems facing the country.
The central media does not utter a word about the passing of our great compatriots, who have contributed with their entire activity to the economic and spiritual development of the homeland. The most recent scandalous example is the shameful silence surrounding the death of Georgi Yordanov, one of our best ministers of culture in the last half century.
On one hand, mindless entertainment programs wash away the public's consciousness, while on the other hand, morning news blocks perform an unprecedented and cynical manipulation of the desires, expectations, and concerns of our fellow countrymen. And so, we reach the untroubled revelry of the foolish witches.
The goal is not only to lull the modern society, but also to erase the ancestral memory. Messages of generations of great patriots who have devoted their lives and talents to serving their beloved country should not be forgotten.
At the beginning of the so-called democratic changes, the poet Pavel Matev uttered a sorrowful cry from his mournful lyre: "They do not remember Botеv. They do not know Yavorov. And even Vazov is unknown to them. They do not hear the lament of Debelyanov.
They do not believe that Vaptsarov is their brother." But have they even heard and remembered the poet's anxious question? A society that has lost its immunological defenses connected with preserving national identity, honor, and dignity, becomes a herd, an unthinking and mindless mass, sunk in amnesia and nihilism.
Such a mass is easily controlled by the puppeteers, but only for a while, because in a moment of another political turbulence, other invisible mechanisms are triggered, stirring up the dormant energy of anger, rage, and hatred, often sweeping away the puppeteers themselves. It's a shame that our modern pseudo-politicians read very few books, it's almost certain that they are not familiar with Gustave Le Bon's fundamental study "The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind". Otherwise, they would think about their illiterate and irresponsible actions.
But why mention Gustave Le Bon when we can remember the words of our political marionettes, the exalted merchant tricks, in the poem of our great poet Peyo Yavorov, written in 1903. There he warns the strong ones of that time, possessed by vanity and arrogance, similar to the current ones, that the Bulgarian people are like a Sisyphus.
And he declares: Beware! And see... Don't you know fear? Sisyphus raises the rock? - Where will he roll it?
Today the Bulgarian people once again raise the rock of fury and righteous revenge. ---
