From last Friday until the introduction of the revised budget this Monday, 80% of the motives behind the vote of no confidence are unfounded, said Alexander Ivanov from GERB-UDF during parliamentary debates on the no-confidence vote towards the "Zhelyaskov" cabinet for failure in economic policy.
He pointed out that a large part of the motives are now unfounded because plans to increase taxes and the administrative burden regarding sales management software in commercial facilities (SUPTO) have been cancelled.
Two days before the vote on economic policy, news came that Eurostat data showed that Bulgaria ranks among the leading countries in the EU in terms of economic growth, stated Alexander Ivanov. The news is that Bulgaria is fifth in economic growth in Europe, he pointed out and added that Bulgaria has record low levels of unemployment.
Ivanov commented that the sixth vote of no confidence aims to destabilize the government and the state. None of the initiators of the vote will come out today to say what comes next, he noted. This is the main question that a constructive opposition must answer when seeking a vote of no confidence and the removal of the government - what security will it provide to the economy and citizens for their income, said the MP from GERB-UDF.
The Zhelyazkov government took on clear responsibility to deal with rising prices, and now you are talking about economic growth, so we have managed to achieve price stability, commented Alexander Ivanov.
The funding rescue of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan is a reality. In nine months, there have been requests and funds received for two payments, close to 2 billion euros will enter the Bulgarian economy, said the MP from GERB-UDF. He noted that European programs have been halted for Bulgaria in the last four years.
If the government falls at the threshold of the eurozone, what then, what do you propose, Ivanov asked.
Manol Peykov ("We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria") replied that they propose an energy committee not to last for 28 seconds, the budget committee not to be held during the break of the meeting, and to remove the security of Peevski. лева ще се изплатят на Пеевски "If the government falls, it will be entirely your fault, not ours, because people are protesting against your insane budget, but mainly against your relentless arrogance and self-forgetfulness," stated
Georgi Hrisimirov ("Revival"). He commented that some of the opposition's proposals were included in the budget between first and second readings. He asked Alexander Ivanov why he did not mention that 420 million leva from the second tranche of the Public Investment Program had been frozen, because we did not fulfill one of the conditions related to the Commission for Countering Corruption (CCC). You claimed to want the selection of CCC members to be independent, but suddenly Delian Peevski decided that this procedure should be stopped and a bill to close the Commission should be introduced, so now these 420 million leva will be paid to Peevski." Leva is frozen, commented Hrisimirov.
According to his colleague, Tsoncho Ganev ("Revival"), Bulgaria should open up to Chinese investments.
Alexander Ivanov pointed out that funds from EU programs are temporarily frozen, not permanently lost. In response to Manol Peykov, Ivanov commented that he is not a member of the energy committee, but of the budget committee. He added that the budget was properly withdrawn and reconsidered, and dialogue with unions and employers has been resumed. He also stated that within the year, they will propose a good and sustainable budget.
