"We will support every policy for the people," stated the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) during consultations for the formation of a government led by President Iliana Yotova.
Present at the meeting were Deputy Chairpersons Aytan Sabri and Halil Letifov, as well as Atidzhe Veli, Ivo Tsanev, and Dzhem Yamenov.
MRF emphasized the need for a normal dialogue between political parties, as noted by Aytan Sabri.
Iliana Yotova stated that one of the priorities should be the adoption of a budget.
"We were on the verge of blocking many things in the country, not only the institutions but also the sector policies. The speed and quality of work in the National Assembly will determine how we end this year," said the head of state.
"We want to hear your opinions regarding changes in the judicial system and economic policy. "We are not a small country, it is important to identify our priorities," Yotova added.
"Thank you for the invitation. Yes, a difficult period is ahead for Bulgaria. We have stated that the Bulgarian citizens have shown what they want from now on. We respect their decision. We will be a constructive opposition. We will strive for a normal dialogue between political parties, between institutions. We will work for the rights and dignity of every Bulgarian citizen," shared Ayden Sabri.
According to her, justice and honesty are a priority for MRF.
"We will continue our good partnership with our European partners and with the US. We will support any policy that is for the people, for families, and for our youth," added the deputy-chair of the parliamentary group of MRF.
"MRF understands well the message of the Bulgarian citizens. This is a new reality that is also a huge responsibility. Long-standing problems must find their solution in due time. We will participate constructively in all debates on important topics," stated Halil Letifov.
According to him, the accelerated development of the economy is a thesis and priority for MRF, defended in the last 15 years.
"Bulgaria must have a strong voice in Europe. We must follow the Euro-Atlantic path of Bulgaria and the strategic partnership with the USA. This path must be followed. We must protect the national interest, as well as that of every Bulgarian citizen," added Letifov.
There is no greater priority than for politics to show a new style. We will monitor whether the government's priorities are part of the people's agenda. Eliminating inequalities is at the forefront, we need to stop depopulation and demographic catastrophe. The new government must take office faster to fulfill its responsibility, stated Letifov.
Athidzhe Aliyeva-Veli warned against unjustified price increases and called for measures, reminding that a ceiling on markups has been proposed by the MRF. "We will continue to propose measures to control food prices, but they also depend on the supply chain and for a sustainable solution, it is necessary to strengthen the position of farmers and implement state policies for irrigation. And also more Bulgarian production." "Compensations for households and businesses are also crucial, we expect a swift intervention from the state to help the most affected sectors - transport, energy and agriculture," said the representative.
Ivo Tsanev emphasized that the vote is a message for the future. "Without an increase in living standards and GDP, we cannot afford social policies. We have to work with everyone and hope that through long-term strategies we can lay the foundation for a strategic review of the industry," he believes.
Representative Dzhem Yamenov assured that he will stand behind everything that gives young people a better path to stay in their homeland.
