The Parliament has elected an interim committee to draft the Rules of Organization and Operation of the National Assembly. Without these rules, members of parliament cannot start their legislative work, and until their adoption they will use temporary regulations.
The interim committee, which will work on the Rules of Organization and Operation of the National Assembly, includes 16 members of parliament - two from each parliamentary group.
GERB-UDF nominated Anna Aleksandrova and Hristo Gadzhev as members of the committee. The first political force proposed Hristo Gadzhev to head the committee.
From CC-DB, Atanas Slavov and Stoyu Stoev were proposed as members of the committee. From "Revival" - Petar Petrov and Tsveta Rangelova. The third political force nominates Rangelova for party leader.
"MRF-NB" proposed Hamid Hamid and Yordan Tsonev as members of the commission. "BSP-United Left" nominated Maya Dimitrova and Ivan Ivanov. "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - Hasan Ademov and Remzi Osman. TISP put forward Alexander Rashev and Pavela Mitova, with Rashev also nominated for commission chairman. MUH nominated Hristo Rastashki and Deyan Petkov as members of the commission.
The commission must draft the Rules of Organization and Activities of the National Assembly by Friday.
Hristo Gadzhev will be the temporary commission chairman. "165 deputies voted 'for' him, 12 were 'against', and 50 abstained," reports "Focus".
The decision to form the temporary committee was the only item on the agenda of the emergency meeting of the parliament. The deputies will continue tomorrow, when a regular session will be held, starting at 9:00 am.
After being elected as chairman, Natalia Kiselova stated that one of the main priorities she will work on is to adopt the budget for 2025 by the end of the year.
