The participation of around 20 countries through their representatives at the Red Square parade on Victory Day is Russia's main message, and it is the most important one: that Russia is not isolated in geopolitical terms and has its own allies.
This was stated by geopolitics expert Prof. Valentin Vacev on the "Metronome" show on Radio Focus.
According to him, the main message of this parade is the idea that the relationship between Russia and China has reached a new level of quality. The contrast with the previous state of affairs is that China and Russia were trying not to formalize their relationship, but rather acted through mutual statements and promises of a deep and unshakeable friendship.
At this stage, the new development is that China and Russia have signed a huge number of agreements, deals, and treaties. This means that Russia and China have decided right now, at this historical and geopolitical moment, to formalize their relationship and institutionalize it.
This is interesting in and of itself, as it is connected to the overall process in the geopolitics of civilizations, he said and added that in the United States, the Democrats are heavily accused by the Republicans that their thoughtless and geopolitically unwise actions have led to these friendly relations between Russia and China, and the driving wedge between Russian and Chinese relations is a geopolitical tradition of American policy dating back to the time of Kissinger.
The three great powers, China, Russia and the US, are currently adjusting their relationships and exploring possibilities for development, stated Professor Vacev and added that this is extremely important on a geopolitical level. "Europe is not included in this scheme.
It is isolated due to the turmoil in the relations between the leaderships of the leading European countries. European politics, both at the national and at the united European leadership level, is disorganized and to some extent blocked," he explained and pointed out that the United States can help with its unblocking, but they are not rushing to help Europe in this regard.
According to the analyst, as Europe prepares for a direct military conflict with Russia, so does Russia prepare for such a conflict with Europe, although this is not openly announced by Russia, but it is undoubtedly being pursued in this direction.
According to Prof. Vatsev, if there are no changes in world politics after the end of the war in Ukraine, a direct stage of the war between Russia and Europe is looming. "In Europe, there are already certain influential forces trying to prepare, not very successfully at this stage, Europe for a direct military confrontation with Russia," he pointed out.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to Ukraine to resume negotiations on May 15 in Istanbul is an important change in the attitude towards the war. The two countries will be able to negotiate directly, which changes the role of the United States, freeing them from the Ukrainian problem and allowing them to focus their attention on China.
"I approach this idea with caution, as it may not be realized in practice. Of course, this is an important step in the peace process, but we need to see where this step will lead," he further commented.
Assoc. Prof. Vatsev believes that the meaning of the aforementioned problem for Putin's successor in the media is in creating a new global political and historical architecture for Russian civilization, where the Russian Federation, Belarus and Novorussia - the four new territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson, will form a new form of allied Russian state, with Putin as the chairman of the State Council of this allied state.
"This will add a new weight, meaning, and dynamic to the relationship between the US, China, and Russia, and of course, ultimately - a new direction. It is about dividing the world into three megacusters. In other words, it is about the new cluster organization of the recently globalized world." This is the formula for the end of globalization and for the new world order, which will include between three or a maximum of five global clusters: USA, China, Russia, India, and Turkey. This is the new picture of the global geopolitics in the world from next year onwards," concluded geopolitical analyst Assoc. Prof. Valentin Vatsev.
