GERB-UDF has not been involved in any organization for change of the leadership, size and composition of the current National Assembly, let alone for the cessation of existence of any parliamentary group, said Nazaryan
"We will fully support the proposed solution project by our colleagues from TISP and we stand behind Natalia Kiselyova's statement in an attempt to resolve this difficult parliamentary situation. But if Radostin Vasilev has dignity, he should apologize!
This is how the GERB-SDS party commented on the situation with the MUH parliamentary group and the extraordinary statement of the parliament's chairman.
The parliament's rules do not allow for it, but since this is a precedent, Slavi Trifonov's party suggests that the parliament accepts a one-time decision for the re-establishment of MUH without amending the rules."
"We want to express our deep outrage at the language used by Mr. Radostin Vasiliev, at the way he decided to handle this situation, at the fact that he was obviously repeatedly warned by Mrs. Kiselova's statement and perhaps sought this provocation and effect. The GERB-UDF Parliamentary Group considers Mr. Radostin Vasiliev unworthy to be a Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly," said Denitsa Sacheva.
However, GERB will not officially propose his removal from the position and stands behind MUH's constituents, but condemns the attacks against the Speaker of Parliament Natalia Kiselova and especially the insults by Vasiliev towards her and his calls for "spilling blood".
If Radostin Vassilev truly has honor and dignity, he should find a way to apologize to the National Assembly and his colleagues," Saeva said.
"Under no circumstances can legality be restored through calls for violence, for aggression, expressed in extremely coarse hate speech," pointed out Raya Nazaryan.
"GERB-UDF has not participated in any organization aimed at changing the leadership of the National Assembly, the number and composition of the current 51st National Assembly, let alone for the dissolution of any parliamentary group." All claims that were heard in the public space, that GERB had an idea to change the rules for the organization of the National Assembly's work by altering the number of MPs needed to form a parliamentary group, are untrue," she added.
"Where there are gaps, they should be filled in order for the rule of law to be upheld. Legality is not restored by calls for violence and aggression, expressed through hateful language. This is not inherent to leaders of the people, elected by the people," said Raya Nazaryan.
GERB-UDF has not participated in any organization for changing the leadership, the size of the National Assembly or the dissolution of any parliamentary group. We respect our opponents, even when they have been rude and provocative towards us," she emphasized.
All claims that GERB has an idea to change the regulation by changing the required number for the formation of a parliamentary group to 12 are false. After the decision of the Central Election Commission that 10 people are needed to form a party, it is impossible for a parliamentary group to have less than 10 members.
