European Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen will hold working meetings in Bulgaria. She is responsible for technological sovereignty, security and democracy, the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria said.
Virkkunen will meet Prime Minister Rumen Radev and Ivan Vasilev, the minister responsible for innovation and digital transformation.
Her programme also includes meetings with leading companies from Bulgaria’s technology industry. The discussions will cover issues connected with the technology sector and the responsibilities within her European Commission portfolio.
Earlier this year, during a European Parliament sitting in Strasbourg, Henna Virkkunen said that the European Commission was closely monitoring developments involving the artificial-intelligence chatbot Grok.
