The government should state who pays for the kerosene for American planes at Sofia Airport. This was called for by the leader of "Revival" party, Kostadin Kostadinov, in an interview for News.bg.
The party will formally inquire the authorities, as according to his information, it is the Bulgarian state that pays for the kerosene.
According to him, American planes make targets out of us. In his words, these planes at the civilian airport are situated in violation of our legislation.
The largest Bulgarian civilian airport is occupied by foreign planes and foreign soldiers, Kostadinov reports. 500 American soldiers are currently in Sofia, he added. This means that Bulgaria is occupied, worries the leader of "Revival." Furthermore, the permit for the placement of planes at Vasil Levski Airport was given for an hour.
Asked what measures should be taken to neutralize the negative effects of the crisis in the Middle East on Bulgaria, Kostadinov replied: "Sanctions against Russia should be lifted".
He said that Russian gas enters through intermediaries in our country, as well as Russian oil disguised as Kazakh, but at a higher price. According to him, normal trade relations with Russia should be restored.
The sanctions against Russia will inevitably fall and whoever removes them first will gain the most, the leader of "Revival" was categorical. We always choose the Bulgarian national interest, he added.
And he continued his comment on current topics: "It is incomprehensible to us why political parties that claim to be in opposition and who came to protest with us against the government are now supporting their budget".
"CC-DB supported the majority of the budget's provisions when it was voted on last year, as did MUH and "Greatness" among others. We see once again the political opportunism of all political forces in parliament except for "Revival". We had a clear and principled stance against this budget from the beginning. We did not approve the inclusion of nearly 19 billion leva in new debt, we did not approve the lowering of the VAT threshold, and we did not approve all other artificially inflated revenues, which had one sole purpose - to reduce the budget deficit in order to comply with the Maastricht criteria of a maximum 3% deficit," stated Kostadinov.
He reminded that the Ministry of Finance has acknowledged that the budget has a larger deficit than planned, namely 3.1%, and "due to the extension of the budget, there has been a halt in the withdrawal of new loans, and now at the moment, the hands are practically untied for the pumping of Bulgarian public finances." According to Kostadinov, the only way at the moment to stabilize public finances to some extent is to withdraw new loans.
"Revival" wants to govern independently. According to him, a single-party government is possible.
In Bulgaria, there is talk of political projects, he warned, and pointed out that our parties do not offer management programs. In our country, there are no political parties, but projects, behind which there are backstage circles, noted Kostadin Kostadinov.
"Revival" has published half a million copies of their program called "Bulgaria 1400". The reason is that in 2032, we will celebrate 1400 years since the foundation of the first Bulgarian state by Khan Kubrat. This is something we can be proud of and that is why we emphasize it," said the leader of "Revival", reminding that Bulgaria is the oldest national state in Europe and one of the 10 oldest states in the world that still exist.
There are no big or small states, there are small and big statesmen, and we have no statesmen," the leader of "Revival" added. The party's number one goal is to bring back the Bulgarian lev, as stated in his comment. Kostadinov also reminded that our country entered the Eurozone without meeting the criteria. "If we have entered the Eurozone with fake data, it means that we have entered illegally," emphasized the leader of "Revival." Those responsible for this fraud must be held accountable and go to jail, according to his opinion.
The European Union is shaking, he also fears, and predicts that the EU will soon collapse under its own weight. For years, the EU has been working against its own economic interests, he added, and pointed out that Bulgaria has once again made a wrong geopolitical choice. We are in yet another dead-end of history, warned Kostadinov.
He also noted that there are powerful forces working against Bulgaria. "Bulgaria was not liberated in one day and Rome was not built in one day," as the leader of "Revival" reminded. That is why the party is prepared to patiently fight for Bulgaria until the end.
