"I have acted in accordance with the law and within my powers."
This was stated by co-chairman of the CC, Kiril Petkov, regarding the arrest of GERB leader Boyko Borisov.
"I have completely acted within my powers. I have given the administration the freedom to do their job and behind-the-scenes influence could not affect my decision. We at the CC-DB are not influenced by their pressures," he explained, referring to the giving of testimony, Petkov said regarding the arrest of the opposition leader Boyko Borisov.
Petkov declined to comment on his refusal to speak to the prosecutor when he carried out the unlawful arrest of Borisov.
Bulgaria needs to have a regular government, elected by parliament with a pro-European and anti-corruption program. There is no tension. This was stated by Nadezhda Yordanova after a meeting of the CC-DB with President Rumen Radev. "
"Let's clarify a few things - both for the CC and the DB, the measures from the declaration for the sanitary cordon around Peevski are mandatory and we will not back down. We from the DB will go into negotiations with GERB to explain the measures and insist on their implementation. The question is when, but formats and so on are a question for GERB.
We do not have an invitation. We will insist on specific guarantees for the implementation of these measures. Whether the document will be a declaration or an annex or whatever it may be, for us it is important to provide specific guarantees," she added.
"We respect the approach of our coalition partners. The ultimate vision is the same. We do not trust Borisov and GERB that if they are not willing to sign a declaration, they are not willing to break ties with the backstage dealings. These are the three reasons why my accusation was chosen yesterday to happen." The first reason is that the sanitary cordon was successful.
Secondly, I firmly believe that this accusation is a threat to us. I will not be influenced in either direction. The threat is against GERB. Mr. Peevski is warning them to be careful and not to take a step back," explained co-president of CC Kiril Petkov. Stay tuned for more details.
