Three bills for changes in the Criminal Procedure Code will be examined at first reading by the parliament. Two of them were introduced by the Council of Ministers and are related to the funds from the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, reminded BNT.
The proposed changes aim to provide judicial control over the termination of corruption crimes and thus ensure control over the ad hoc prosecutor who investigates the Chief Prosecutor. The third proposal for changes is from "Democratic Bulgaria".
In the afternoon, the temporary commission for drafting a new Regulations of the National Assembly will discuss the proposed changes.
Yesterday, there was an exchange of remarks following the proposals made by "Progressive Bulgaria".
Some of the new ideas include that ministers cannot be questioned on the day of opposition. The time for speaking during debates is reduced. According to the opposition, this restricts their rights and silences their voice.
