Bulgaria lacks the intellectual capacity to comprehend the gravity of the situation it is currently facing. The Bulgarian debate is dominated by extremely narrow-minded and provincial attitudes, and some of it is an attempt to please the new hegemon

  The situation we are living in is unique because there is an attempt to change the world hegemon and for the first time this is not an "intra-Christian issue", believes Prof. Ivo Hristov.

   He was invited by the leader of the list of BSP in Plovdiv, Tatyana Doncheva, to give a lecture on the international situation.  

 The analyst metaphorically described today's day as follows - "even those not tempted by international politics begin to see the connection between what is happening in the world and their everyday lives. Like at Gancho's cafe."

 "The drama of Bulgarians is that we have taken a geopolitical place, but we have a provincial mindset", said Prof. Hristov at the beginning of his lecture.

 "For the past 500 years, Western Europe has been shaping the entire world. Today, this is changing." Figuratively speaking - it wasn't China that conquered Europe, but the other way around - Europe entered China. Even the massive contradiction that was created by the content of the Cold War was European, if you will - an intra-Christian contradiction.

 There wasn't a great, dramatic cultural, civilizational difference.

 Now we have not only a transfer of hegemony from one to another, pardon the racist expression - this was our internal "white" work, even when the actions were taking place in Africa or Indochina. It was about the two forms of existence of one common Christian-based civilization - the West and Russia. Now the case is not the same.

 It's not clear whether the current hegemon (the United States) will voluntarily give way to the rising one (China). This makes the situation extremely dangerous. The elites in the USA believe that they can not only restore things. That is why they chose Trump - he was supposed to be an icebreaker of the world order. The idea of MAGA now is that the West will rule through the national empire of the USA, not through globalist elites.

 Prof. Hristov explains why the USA attacked Iran this way:

 "If the USA controls the point that supplies oil to their major competitors, they can block them - like acupuncture - it is not necessary to tie the person, it is important to block a specific point in their body."

 It turns out that even the cleverest plans can be destroyed by something that the artificial intelligence cannot calculate. The will to fight of an ancient nation. In this case - Iran. A massive mistake on the part of the USA. This puts American dominance into question. It happened that this giant mechanism jammed and all the goals that the USA had set for itself were not achieved.

  - Toppling the regime in Tehran - did not happen.
  - Eliminating the Iranian nuclear program - did not happen.
  - Eliminating the Iranian missile program - did not happen.

 Now new "extras" are being added - the Strait of Hormuz, which before the war was free, is now closed. Furthermore, it may turn out that for the USA, the failure in Iran may be the domino that causes the entire row to collapse.

  Why?

 In the 1970s, Henry Kissinger made a very important agreement called "oil for dollars". The US currency is backed by two things - the forces of the Sixth American Fleet and all the oil that Gulf countries sell only in exchange for American dollars. It has now been revealed that the petrodollar, upon which the American power is based, is being diversified and at least part of the oil can now be sold in yuans - the currency of the candidate hegemony. Many of the monarchies in the Persian Gulf have made a cynical deal - we will sell our oil in dollars, and you will protect us. It turns out that the American bases do not serve to protect these countries, on the contrary - they have turned them into targets for Iran. And for this reason, there is a high-level delegation from the UAE in Beijing. This way, the hegemon cannot achieve one of its goals that make it attractive - to protect its clients.

 It turns out that the status of the USA, despite its giant power, is now being questioned. They technically have the ability to destroy Iran - with nuclear weapons or even conventionally, but in practice - they cannot", Professor Hristov continued his statement.

 Here are few possible scenarios:

  "First. Collapse of Trump's regime and restoration of the old Euro-Atlantic status quo - reincarnation of the Ursulurs with some kind of new type of Biden. Theoretically possible, but not practically.

 Second - Europe, through these elites, to orient itself towards its selfish interests and restore its relations with Russia. In theory, this is possible, but not in practice. On the contrary, Europe is preparing for war with Russia.

 Third - Europe to orient itself towards its own energy and raw material resources in Latin America, i.e. for the Mercosur agreement to be implemented with real content. Is this possible? No, the declining hegemon will not allow the European hand to enter its back pocket and will cut it off at the shoulder if necessary.

 And fourth. Europe is preparing for some form of collaboration with China.

  A question of the very near future is which of the four options will become a reality. It is also possible that a fifth option may occur - it is not by chance that it is said that if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.

 At the same time, artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation are developing. These processes, which are mainly taking place in two centers - America and China, will determine who will be the world's hegemon and what kind of world we will live in.

  For the first time in the thousand-year history, most people are not active. On the contrary, they are passive. Because a huge part of the population is now performing routine operations without much effort.

 This is changing. So we have two contradictions - on one hand is the contradiction between the new and the old hegemon, which could lead to war or a series of conflicts, and on the other hand - the technological and scientific level of development question the functioning of civilization in its current form.

  In the shadow of these two giant processes, we are living.

 Where are we? Bulgaria has no subjectivity, we are an object being moved around on the table. The country is a peripheral territory with diminishing functions, but it is located at the crossroads of two geopolitical projects - the European, the Russian, and possibly the Middle Eastern.

 But the worst part is that Bulgaria lacks the intellectual capacity to comprehend the drama of the situation it is in. The Bulgarian debate is dominated by extremely heavy narrow-mindedness and provincialism, and part of it is the attempt to please the new hegemon. This means that you have lost the most important thing - your own constitution, which is what makes you different.
