Just a few days ago, MRF-Moscow celebrated with a lavish banquet at the "Ramada" hotel, in the "Diamond" hall in the capital, 35 years since the party was founded in Varna. Quite unsurprisingly, the praised founder and honorary boss of the corporation, Ahmed Dogan, was absent from the celebration. The falcon does not like the date of January 4th and has a complex about it, because over the years he managed to drive away and eliminate all his like-minded people.
Out of the so-called 33 founders, only he remains today.
January 4th also brings back other
fears about a politician
who had been distributing portions in the state according to his own standards for several decades. The myth that the swearing-in ceremony in Varna at the home of Emin Hamdi is an authentic act of freedom fighters for rights and freedoms, repressed by the communist regime, has collapsed. Without a doubt,
it is now clear that the MRF is a political GMO,
created by the Bulgarian Communist Party and Andrey Lukanov, controlled by the State Security. Four of the so-called founders later turn out to be agents of the State Security. But today raises the question that has never been asked before:
was Ahmed Dogan ever a political prisoner and repressed by the regime of Todor Zhivkov?
Historians and the descendants of former repressive services owe answers. But instead of the objective truth, society and the electorate of the MRF are victims of an extremely cunning and prolonged falsification.
Even in the dawn of democracy, it became clear that Dogan had been an agent of the State Security who had mainly worked for his own people - the Turks and Muslims. But this sin was negligibly unnoticed because later Medi was portrayed as a fighter against communism, even though he was sentenced for this activity and thrown into prison, repressed.
In fact, Dogan had never been a genuine political prisoner, but a spy who was infiltrated into the groups of real fighters for rights and freedoms, who were sent to camps and prisons.
And there's nothing strange or illogical about it, as during his time as agent "Sava" for several years, he was prepared by the secret department "05" of the State Security to be an illegal agent, who would be infiltrated under a foreign name and identity in a capitalist country (preferably Turkey, etc.), in order to spy and gather information. But instead of being abroad, the situation forces "Sava" to become illegal in the Stara Zagora and later in the Pazardzhik prison.
There are many facts surrounding his special role, from which it can be reasonably concluded that the honorary chairman has never been a true political prisoner. The last documented contact between Medi Doganov and the leading officers of the State Security is from June 9, 1986, when he receives the last officially given 200 leva monthly scholarship from Colonel Ivan Karamuchev. This means that a year and a half after the end of the Revival Process, Dogan continued to be involved with the services and accept money from them.
After this date, there is no record of the young philosopher in the archives of the State Security. The authorities suddenly stop showing interest in Dogan, despite having invested in it for almost a decade. It turns out that it is part of the so-called Bakalov group, which is already working against the government, and they are exposed. Dogan receives a 9-year sentence and is sent to prison. Shortly before this, he had authored an analysis on the Revival Process, which he approved as a form of assimilation, but did not agree with some of the methods used in its implementation. There are witnesses that "Sava" himself made a proposal to the State Security, suggesting that he would be more valuable if he is portrayed as a political prisoner, in order to gather intelligence on the plans of the illegal Turkish resistance.
According to DS rules - after becoming an enemy of the regime and cutting all ties as a paid agent, it is logical for him to be targeted as an operative person of interest, engaging in anti-state activities and posing a threat to the security of the party-state. But for unknown reasons, the communist services stop showing interest in him and haven't officially targeted him for any actions. Instead, attempts are made to present Dogan as the organizer and leader of the May 1989 riots, which led to clashes between protesting Turks and Muslim communities with law enforcement.
Actually, it is precisely these riots that the regime of the Bulgarian Communist Party uses as a pretext to forcibly extradite “dangerous”, reactionary individuals abroad, clearing the way for the future realization of their agents and trusted people. The role of “prisoner” Meda has been demythologized by the memories of authentic participants in the events such as the late dissident Avni Veli, the political prisoner and leader of the illegal organization “The Long Winter” Mohamad Uzunkash, and the political emigrant in France Petar Boyadzhiev.
The double life of Dogan in Pazardzhik Prison is testified by political prisoners who have no explanation for his unusual disappearances from his cell. Halibryam Ibram, the longest-serving political prisoner from the Turkish community after Nuri Adalı, said that when Dogan visited them, everyone stopped talking about politics because they were convinced that the philosopher was actually an informant. His words were recently confirmed by his daughter Sevdie in an interview with Faktor.bg.
It is also indicative of the revelations of the late director Malina Petrova, who pointed to documents from the archive of the Pazardzhik prison that in late October and early November, just days before the fall of the Zhivkov regime, according to one document from the prison administration, Medi was released on the leave he was entitled to, while according to another document at the same time, he was being punished in solitary confinement. It is strange how the "most rebellious revolutionary" wanders freely in Sofia in the most dramatic days of the BKP regime. The fact that in December 1989, before being released from prison, the woman from whom Dogan has a son, receives with the assistance of Lukyanov an apartment in Sofia, is also unexplained. Hardly any close friend of another political prisoner would have been happy at that time with such a generous gesture and humane treatment from the repressive authorities.
The biggest blow to the legends
surrounding the boy from Drandar is his release from prison on December 22, 1989. The services then deliberately let certain prisoners free, most of whom are linked to the DS. The dangerous ones for the regime remain behind bars until mid-August 1990. The services and the nomenclature of the Bulgarian Communist Party begin to promote Dogan as a leader and political guide, and his formation as a counterbalance to the nationalist movements created by the DS - OKZNI and OPT.
Many of these events, including the legendary feat of the "Sokol", have been documented by director Evgeniy Mikhailov's camera, and the footage can still be seen today. By mid-summer, the MRF, led by agents of the State Security Committee, was already imposing its power over society. The illegal "Sava", who was prepared specifically for this role (according to reports from his leading officers, BR), had taken control of the formation, the cards were dealt, the leadership positions were filled, and the MRF became part of the first democratic parliament. The freed political prisoners were sent to Turkey, where their families had previously been deported.
Without any doubt, it must be said today that in the early 90s, in the three letters of the MRF, two absolutely opposite, value-incompatible goals were eclectically gathered by different subjects who are related to the creation of the formation, defined as a "curse for Bulgaria" (according to former Prime Minister Ivan Kostov, ). On one hand, in this GMO is the DS, which after the fall of the Berlin Wall developed a strategy for controlling the processes of the inevitable transition to democracy and the shift from state to predominantly private ownership.
The communist services are aware that due to the legacy of the Revival Process and the repressions, nearly a million Turks and Muslims will not vote for the BSP but for the opposition UDF. This represents a convincing victory for the democratic forces and Bulgaria to follow the path of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, i.e.
to come out of the gray zone of Russian influence.
In order to prevent this risk, the Union of Democratic Forces and the Communists around Lukovon follow the principle of "if the Turks won't vote for us, they shouldn't vote for UDF." They create their most successful project - the MRF of Dogan.
The hundreds of thousands who become members and voters of the MRF do not know anything about the disgusting deal between Dogan(Sava) and his bosses and patrons from the Union of Democratic Forces. "They are there for their rights and freedoms.
And in this lies Dogan's biggest crime -
much greater than the thousands of reports he wrote against his "friends" Turks under his agent pseudonyms "Angelov", "Sergey" and "Sava", namely - that after November 10, he turns the hundreds of thousands of victims into instruments for achieving the dirty goals of the same DS and the heirs of the communist regime. There is no more cynical mockery of the memory of the victims and the suffering of an entire community subjected to brutal repression. In his new role as leader of this community, Dogan has enriched himself over the years in the most shameless and cynical way - politically, financially and morally.
But ironically, the situation is different today. Dogan has lost his media and financial comfort with the collapse of his united MRF."
He is in isolation from his voters.
After his clash with DOST years ago he lost almost 200,000 followers who never returned to him and the mafia corporation that the human rights organization turned into. Peevski, with the party MRF-New Beginning, dealt an even more devastating blow. Both Dogan and the remnants of his organization are in a state close to a waking coma.
The project of DS today
is isolated even from the official authority in Turkey,
which refused to take a clear side between the warring MRF parties, regardless of the fact that one was led by an ethnic Bulgarian. In fact, politicians in Ankara have always been aware of who has control over the Turks and Muslims in Bulgaria, and for what purposes they are used.
The distance from Dogan can also be clearly seen from the last two significant events. At the end of December, during the commemoration of the victims of communism at the Tuykryan fountain in Kardzhali region, the President of Turkey, Erdogan, sent a message on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the forced change of names of the Turks. Davdet Chakarov and his company attempted to privatize and claim as their own assets his words. However, a careful reading shows that Erdogan's message is not personally directed at MRF- Dogan. The Turkish statesman is addressing the "representatives of political parties".
He speaks clearly in the plural. Anyone who is familiar with the requirements of the Turkish state protocol knows that from the President to the local governor, when expressing greetings in response to an invitation received, the address must be by name to the inviter, and the institution that sent the invitation must be mentioned (country, organization, party, a specific person, etc.), and in addition, the surname of the titleholder must be mentioned. In Erdogan's address, neither the MRF, nor Dogan, nor Chakarov are mentioned.
On January 4, to mark the anniversary of the creation of the MRF , the Turkish embassy in Sofia also demonstrated distance - it was represented at the lowest level - a counselor.
Today, Dogan and his MRF have one big and real enemy - THE TRUTH.
It will haunt them relentlessly and they cannot hide from it. Their silence is not salvation. Revelations are ahead, which the Turkish and Muslim community in Bulgaria must make sense of on their own. Otherwise, they will serve as a glaring example of being irreversibly afflicted by Stockholm Syndrome.
