On January 16, Friday, at 10:00 am, in accordance with the Constitution, President Rumen Radev will task the parliamentary group of the "Alliance
for Rights and Freedoms" to nominate a candidate for Prime Minister.
This was announced by the press office of the head of state.
The first two mandates, given to the two largest political formations in parliament – GERB-UDF and "We Continue Change - Democratic Bulgaria", were returned unfulfilled.
So far, Radev has only given a third mandate to the Bulgarian Socialist Party and There is Such a People.
The procedure for handing out mandates began on Monday with GERB, who surprisingly sent former Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, who received it and immediately returned it.
