"I do not think there is a basis for a recount of the ballots."
This was stated by Rositsa Mateva, deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission, on BTV. She announced that 8 parties will enter the 51st Parliament, and "Volya" did not reach 21 votes to pass the barrier. Rositsa Mateva clarified that the CEC does not count ballots.
This is done by the district election commissions. The CEC does not review video recordings, but we remove discrepancies to avoid any discrepancies, added Mateva. The analysis of discrepancies amounted to over 60 pages.
We guarantee that every vote of a Bulgarian voter is registered in the database and contributed to the final result, and we have not made any corrections to the actual votes, said the CEC spokesperson. She also agreed that members of district election commissions were replaced on election day.
By November 3, the Central Election Commission will present the list of new deputies.
