The National Revenue Agency is monitoring speculation, confirmed the director Rumen Spetsov to journalists.
However, he clarified that the data he presented in a TV interview about price increases ranging between 5 and 40% for certain goods, over a period of two weeks, were "harsh".
A detailed analysis has already been conducted and will first be presented to the Commission for Protection of Competition and the Commission for Consumer Protection before it is publicly announced:
"What I can say at the moment is that there is no widespread increase in such aspects, as I mentioned yesterday. These are harsh data. We have a very clear territorial principle for such increases in goods, so we cannot talk about inflationary processes at all, this is pure speculation."
