On Monday, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SCPO) will once again request immunity for Djehan Ibryamov. This was reported by the SCPO, as cited by BTA.
The supervising prosecutor will submit a proposal to the Attorney General to activate the procedure before the new National Assembly.
Tonight, Ibryamov was released from custody because the prosecutor's office revoked his detention measure in order to allow him to take an oath as a member of parliament in the new 51st National Assembly.
As soon as he takes the oath, Ibryamov will receive new immunity and according to the Criminal Procedure Code, the criminal proceedings should be stopped, the SCPO reminded.
After taking the oath by Ibramov, the supervising prosecutor will stop the criminal proceedings and make a proposal to the chief prosecutor to submit a request to the National Assembly for permission to continue the investigation.
After the National Assembly's verdict, the criminal proceedings will be resumed if immunity is lifted and the investigation can continue, the SPG added.
