From now on, politicians should listen very carefully and have a sense of what people are saying because public attention is heightened towards every wrong move of the government and politicians. This was stated by journalist Valeriya Veleva on the show "Speak Now" on BNT.

 She noted that the protests have been the most massive in the last 15 years and the government had no choice but to react to this civic energy.

 At the upcoming elections, all parties will face a very difficult test and they must be aware of that, warned Veleva.

 "One government, in which there were no internal scandals, worked in sync, although composed of parties with different ideological orientations, toppled its arrogant behavior and not listening to what people outside say. "They did not hear because they imagined that since there is no opposition in parliament and they have a guaranteed majority, then they also have that majority outside," said Veleva.

 According to her, President Radev will not participate in the upcoming elections, as he does not have time to develop his own political project at the moment. She first announced this forecast weeks ago on EuroNews TV channel. "Which means that after the vote it will be very difficult to form a majority, as the players will be the same - with 5 more or less deputies, the picture will be the same. I predict second parliamentary elections in the autumn, whether with the presidential or before that - it depends on the situation. We are facing an extremely turbulent year," emphasized the chief editor of the website Epicenter.bg. She also emphasized that the energy of the square will not have its own political representation.

 Veleva warned that no party will receive a majority of 121 deputies and advised political leaders not to deceive their voters with such false forecasts. Today, it is not 1997 and it is deceitful to think that any politician or party can repeat the success of the United Democratic Forces and Kostov with a majority of 137 deputies in the 38th National Assembly. No one has since repeated their success and it will not happen now. Not even a party of Radev. Rather, she said, let the politicians tell us now who they would be willing to form a coalition with after the elections, so that we are not surprised by the alliances they will create.

 Veleva comments on the case with Maria Tsvntsarova in three aspects, highlighting that she herself, in her career as a journalist, has experienced such moments of heightened public reaction:

 First, at this point we have not heard Tsvntsarova's position and we do not know exactly what happened in order to properly understand the situation. We only know from bTV's official reaction that she was not fired, but will be given another position for employment. Tsvntsarova is silent, she has the right to do so, while various comments are being directed towards her.

 Second - every respected journalist should abide by the Code of Ethics for impartiality in leading a morning news bloc, rather than an author's opinion-based program, where one can express their own position, Velewa emphasized. We do not know if these norms of the Code of Ethics are included in Cenkovska's contract and if she has complied with them, according to the assessment of its owners.

 And third - the leaders of a party did her a great disservice, who went out in protest to defend her and thus publicly labeled her as their spokesperson. This is a very bad reputation for a journalist from a national media, emphasized Veleva.

 Political scientist Daniel Smilov stressed that the problems in the country have deepened in the last year. "When Mr. Peevski practically overpowers his political opponents within the state structures. The protest pressure will continue because people understand very well that although the government has fallen, in practice the power remains in the same hands. What is seen is that there is no willingness to take steps to overcome the problems," he explained.

 Smilov also commented on the scandal with Maria Tsantsarova. "We have another case of removing a journalist who dares to support those who are not favored by the ruling tandem Borisov-Peevski. I cannot remember a case in the opposite direction - a journalist being removed because they excessively supported Peevski and Borisov."

 However, the bigger problem, according to him, is that in the last year or so, the media environment has allowed for a false reality to be created. There are many examples - the case with Borislav Sarafov, the falsification of elections in Pazardzhik, the arrest of Blagomir Kotsev. "Media formats clearly allow for a false reality to be created because they work according to the "truth by the kilogram" method." "If we are unable to reach a consensus on such obvious issues, there's no point in talking. That's why 150,000 people came out to the square, because such dissonance cannot be tolerated," explained Smilov.
