This was announced by the leader of "Save Sofia", Boris Bonev. The party "Save Sofia" is withdrawing its trust from the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev. I have been summoned by the executive council of "Save Sofia" to announce three important decisions of our party, Bonev added. He pointed out that these decisions were not easy, but necessary given the current situation. According to him, the reconstruction, traffic, and dirty air continue to be a problem. This is not about emotions or drama, but taking political responsibility, Bonev said. The third reason that "Save Sofia" is losing confidence in Terziev is the parallel municipality and the hidden behind-the-scenes power of consultants close to Mayor Vasil Terziev," Bonev stated in his motives. "It is unacceptable for "Save Sofia" to be a facade. People were expecting change, and instead, they got a substitution. Sofia needs leadership and a clear vision. Terziev did not understand how to govern Sofia, he bears responsibility as a person who was entrusted with hopes and dreams. He did not realize this responsibility." The party declares that they still have many common causes with the coalition "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (DB-PP) and that they will now be a constructive opposition in the Municipal Council of Sofia. They won them because a huge team of experts and professionals believed that we could change Sofia. We witnessed the trampling of the coalition agreement and the necessary reforms in Sofia did not begin. There is no clear political responsibility and the pre-election promises are not being fulfilled," Bonnev said.
