The satellite signal for Starshield terminals, the military version of Starlink, remains limited. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported the issue after a briefing by Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Dapaty on information from military units about the use of Starlink and Starshield services.
Zelensky said that in different parts of the front, the equipment stops functioning at speeds of between 130 and 161 kilometers per hour. He said this slows frontline logistics and restricts the use of various types of drones. The limitations particularly affect medium strike drones and interceptors used against Shahed-type jet drones.
The Ukrainian president said the country’s representatives must discuss the issue with their partners again at every level. “Speed matters for protecting human life,” he said.
Zelensky also announced that Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and the cabinet team had received urgent tasks to contact partners capable of supporting Ukraine’s air defense as quickly as possible.
He said political agreements existed that had not been implemented at the working level. He also pointed to delays in some vital deliveries from the U.S. Department of Defense.
The president said he expected concrete results from the day’s contacts and announced an additional evening meeting to review the outcome of all the discussions.
