Thanks to this opportunity, these large-scale projects of the municipality of Dzhebel have found their real place in the investment framework and are already in the process of execution

Every city has its own history. But there are a few places that can be a source of pride and a place where the present is a reason for reflection on what has been achieved. We do not forget the past, but we realize that the future is more important. Djebel has become exactly such a place - with a view towards the future. This was stated by the mayor of Dzhebel Nedzhmi Ali on the occasion of the city's day, May 19.

Thousands of people from all over the country gathered in "May 19" square to celebrate Democracy Day. The special guest was the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bulgaria H.E. Mehmet Sait Uyanik. The entire leadership of the MRF and the deputies from PG of MRF-New Beginning were present in Dzhebel, as well as the mayors from MRF-New Beginning.

Six years ago, when I took over the management of the municipality, I found not just stagnation here. Even the mention of the flood brings sadness to me and my fellow citizens. Dzhebel had found itself frozen in time. Time seemed to have stopped here. The young people did not see this as the place they wanted to live and raise their children. Through joint efforts, we achieved the desired rhythm, the useful energy for accelerated development.

It would not be self-praise if we say that today Dzhebel is a modern, developing municipality - the result of our reasoned actions. Our expertise has become a benchmark - a model to follow for others, said Mayor Nedzhmi Ali.

With a few words, I want to tell you what made us the model that we claim to be.

From 2019 onwards, we have implemented a series of significant projects that have improved the standard of living and changed the face of our municipality:

- We reconstructed and paved dozens of kilometers of municipal and inter-municipal roads, main streets and road sections in the city and villages, significantly improving the living environment for our fellow citizens;

- We built dozens of new children's and sports playgrounds;

- We renewed existing and built new park areas with places for relaxation and sports - with new energy-saving park lighting;

- In our efforts to improve living conditions, we have replaced the outdated water supply and sewage infrastructure in a number of settlements;  

I'll stop listing them - they are already part of our everyday life. They are actively used - not only by residents, but also by visitors to our municipality. This is how the feeling and memory of creation is formed in Djebel - with order, security, and perspective.

The efforts we have made so far have not only changed the city and its settlements - they have given us the confidence to move forward.

Last year, on May 19th, I declared from this podium that Djebel has serious project readiness, and we will seek funding for these projects.

A year later, on the same date and at the same place, I declare that all these projects now have secured funding.

At this moment, the implementation of these projects, which are in the category of "mega projects" for the scale of the Dzhebel municipality, has begun. Some of them have already been realized, while others are in their final stages.

I will take this opportunity to note our achievements in implementing the major projects over the last year:

- A major repair was carried out, through complete resurfacing of 13 city streets with a total length of over 3 km and renovation of over 4000 sq.m. of sidewalks with newly installed street lighting. With this project, we have changed the overall appearance of the central part of the city of Dzhebel.

- A major repair of the entire road section Plazische - Gorno Plazische was carried out;

- A new road section was asphalted and constructed - a street bypass connection in the neighborhood of "Mladost 2", a road section over one and a half kilometers long.

- The main repair of the kindergarten "Happy Childhood" in Dzhebel was completed, where we restored the swimming pool, which has not been functional for over 25 years. We have turned the kindergarten into a luxurious home for our future generation. A swimming pool in a kindergarten is a unique addition, unknown in other kindergartens.

- The massive renovation of the city stadium in Dzhebel continues - where a complete replacement of the artificial turf with a new drainage and irrigation system with a reservoir is planned. The lighting and the athletic track will also be restored. A new roof will be built above the central stands. The complex will meet all standards and will be suitable for training elite football teams.

- I also want to mention another project that will be implemented this year, namely the construction of a stadium with artificial turf in the village of Rogozche. This will give an additional boost to the development of sports, particularly football, as our intentions are for our football team to participate in the "B" professional league...

- The realization of the project for renovating the park "Gorichkata" is completed. We are building a completely new park lighting, with street fitness, resting areas and over 3.2 km of pedestrian alleys. This is the only broad-leaved forest within the city limits, which will provide the opportunity for relaxation and coolness during the summer heat.

- The main renovation has begun, aiming for a complete renovation of the "Izgrev" Kindergarten in the town of Dzhebel, where such renovation has not been done for over 30 years.

- Construction of a completely new street "Osma" has started - with a length of 1 km, width of 10 m, of which 6m are asphalt road and 2m are sidewalk areas on both sides, with new street lighting. Through this project, we achieve the construction of another pedestrian alley, thus beautifying and expanding another neighborhood - namely the "Eminollar" neighborhood.

We continue to improve the appearance of the city and its communities, but not everything is about infrastructure.

Important priorities for us are education, culture, healthcare, sports, tourism and social activities:

- STEM centers are being built in all schools in the municipality.

- New sports facilities have been built in the school yards in the city of Dzhebel.

- We continue to provide the "Hot Lunch" service to 750 of our fellow citizens;

- We successfully completed the implementation of the projects "Home Care in the Municipality of Djebel" and "Strengthening of the Municipal Capacity";

- We continue to provide services under the "Personal Assistance" and "Assistant Support" mechanisms.

- This year, the implementation of a new project for providing "Innovative Health and Social Services" has begun.

- We have already prepared a project for the "Reconstruction, Restoration of the Medieval Fortress of Ustra" which marks the beginning of the development of cultural-historical tourism.

I am proud to announce the construction of a brand new indoor swimming pool with mineral water. His execution will be a historic event for Djebel, as it will be the largest similar infrastructure project built in recent years. This is an investment that marks the actual use of mineral water in the city of Dzhebel. It will give our children the opportunity to take swimming lessons from an early age.

Over the past year, we have achieved these results thanks to a new model of partnership between the local and state authorities. This model was initiated by the MRF leader and chairman of the MRF-New Beginning PG, Mr. Delyan Peevski.

At his initiative, for the first time, a key step was taken and the philosophy of the State Budget Law for 2024 was changed, introducing program budgeting. This created the opportunity for municipalities with project readiness to be included in the Annex to the law. Thanks to this opportunity, these large projects of the municipality of Dzhebel have found their rightful place in the investment framework and are now in the process of implementation.

This initiative has been established as a new meaningful state policy, with which the state and local authorities have found their usefulness - politics in the name of the people. Dzhebel no longer looks simply different. Dzhebel bel is different not only compared to the past, but is also a model of development.

And we have achieved this - all together.

With joint efforts, hard work, faith, and perseverance, we turned stagnation into movement, grey into color, and destruction into hope. From the ashes of the past, we built a future - brighter, bolder, and more sustainable. From difficulties, we built a new day, day after day - stronger, brighter, more alive.

This is not just a metaphor. This is our reality. This is our shared history. A history of transformation - from a forgotten place to a modern community with a new vision.

All of this has been made possible thanks to your trust, support, and commitment. Together, we are proving that Dzhebel can move forward - with care for its people, a modern vision, and a strong connection between generations.

On this festive day, allow me to express my sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you - the residents of the municipality of Dzhebel, who have given their conscious support.

This support is not just a number - it is a clear sign that we are on the right path.

We continue forward - with even greater determination, with new goals and even stronger faith. Thank you for the support, for the trust and for being together on the path of the NEW BEGINNING!

The sharp deficit of leadership and vision for the future of the country has led to political instability, which has resulted in 7 early parliamentary elections in the last 3-4 years.

Today, in the person of Mr. Delyan Peevski, this leadership is already a fact.

MRF has freed itself from its elitist closed content and has returned to where it belongs - in the hearts of every one of our compatriots, every one of our voters.

Chairman Peevski has brought MRF back to the people. He listened to the people, heard, understood and saw their problems up close and declared: he will not allow the voters of MRF to be treated as second-class citizens.

With his election, stereotypes in Bulgaria were broken. A revolution in ethnic relations took place.

With his innovative and pragmatic approach, named by our leader as "Politics with People in Mind," he demonstrated his objective usefulness in real politics. It should be consistent, practically applicable, until it becomes a permanent, indispensable working style in the country's political life.
