Everyone is interested in holding a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US leader Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov said in a comment to Vesti on October 21.
Ushakov said such a meeting would probably be historic to some extent. He stressed that it would be the first time the leaders of three countries of such size met together.
“Everyone seems to be interested in this meeting. It will probably be a historic meeting to some extent. This is the first time the leaders of three such large countries will meet,” Ushakov said.
He said everyone was ready for the meeting, but that much, if not everything, depended on the Chinese hosts of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The event would have to be included in the forum’s program under favorable circumstances, Ushakov said.
He added that all the leaders would first need to confirm their readiness to attend. The presidential aide also said the meeting should be planned with experts involved and that it was important for all three leaders to be in the same place at the same time.
